Step-by-step explanation:

let the cp be x.

difference of two selling prices =1000

(sp for 25%gain and cp xRs)-(sp for 20% gain and cp x Rs)=1000

(100+25/100×x)-(100+20/100×x)= 1000

(125/100x)-(120/100x)=1000

5/4x-6/5x=1000

x/20=1000

x=1000×20

x=20000
