Given:

Profit obtained on selling a shop = 30%

Amount of brokerage at 3/4% = Rs 73,125

To find:

The cost of the shop

Calculation:

Let the cost price(C.P) of the shop is ‘x’

Selling price of the shop = x + (30% of x)

                                         = 1.30x

Amount of brokerage at 3/4% = Rs 73,125

=>  (3/400)×1.30x = 73,125

     3.9x = 73,125 × 400

     3.9x = 29,250,000

     x = 7,500,000

The cost of the shop is 7,500,000
