if he sells 1000gm with 15 percent profit , he gains 150 gm and earlier 50 gm benifit(950 only weighing out of 1000),so totally per kg. He gains 200 gm,then (200 /1000)X100=20 kg gain, finally (20/100)X100=20 percent profit

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the buying price be x then the profit will be :

15/100 × x = 0.15x

For every 0.95kg the profit is 0.15x.

We need to get the profit earned for the 100 kgs.

If 0.95kgs = 0.15x

100 kgs will be :

100/0.95 × 0.15 = 15.789x

This is the profit for the 100 kgs.

The percentage profit is given by :

Buying price = 100 × x = 100x

15.789x/100x × 100% = 15.789%

The percentage profit is thus :

15.789%
