Given:

40% store's customer decide to purchase items

15% them purchase mobile phones

Find percentage of the store's customers purchase mobile phones

Let the total number of customer be x

Number of customer who purchased mobile phones

= 15% of 40% of x

=\frac{15}{100}\times  \frac{40}{100}\times x

=\frac{3}{20}\times \frac{2}{5}\times x

=\frac{3x}{50}

requires percentage =\frac{\frac{3x}{50} }{x}\times 100\%

=6%

Hence percentage of the store's customers purchase mobile phones is 6%

As we know that,

Given:

Forty percent of the store's customers decide to purchase items.

Fifteen percent of them purchase mobile phones.

Find out:

The percentage of the store's customers purchase mobile phones?

Let us:

40% of the store's customers decide to purchase items.

15% of them purchase mobile phones.

so consider the x is the total number of customers.

= \frac{15}{100} × \frac{40}{100}  × x

= \frac{3}{20} × \frac{2}{5} × x

=\frac{3x}{50}

The required percentage is,

= \frac{3x/50}{x} × 100% %

6 %, is the percentage of the store's customers purchase mobile phones.
