Answer:

1.) first in boxes of 80

80 bags cost = $2.36

1 bag will cost =2.36/80

now we have got the price of 1 bag and if they are asking the cost of another same 40 bags then

cost of 40 bags = (2.36/80) *40

.

.

2.) now for the boxes 120

if their cost is given $3.45

then cost of one bag is ....= 3.45/120

after this they are asking the cost of 40 bags of the same so ...

cost of 40 bags = (3.45/120) *40

..calculate the cost ....whether asked in INR or USD

then compare their value of money if 120 is less than 80 ones then the first place is better value of money ....lest the latter ....this will give the answer for (c) part....

a) The cost of 40 of these tea bags is $1.18. ($2.36/2 because 80/2=40)

b) The cost of 40 of these tea bags is $1.15. ($3.45/3 because 120/3=40)

c) The box with 120 tea bags is a better value for money.
