Let M.p (marked price)be '100',

Given,

shopkeeper allows discount=10%

(so,formula to find s.p when discount &marked price given

=100-discount/100 ×M.p)

thus,s.p = 100-10/100%×100

=90/100×100

=90/-

now,profit given=25%

thus, c.p will be

= 100/100+profit×s.p

=100/100+25×90

=100/125×90

=72/-

by applying unitary method,

when m.p =100 c.p = 72

when m.p =1 c.p = 72/ 100

when m.p = 125p c.p = 72/100×1250

= 900/-

therefore , c.p required = 900/-
