Cost price=Rs340
5% profit, Selling price= 340 + 5% × 340 = 357
Marked price = 15% discount = 357 × 100 / 85 = Rs 420
5% profit, Selling price= 340 + 5% × 340 = 357
Marked price = 15% discount = 357 × 100 / 85 = Rs 420

Answer:C.P=340
Gain=5%
S.p=®340*(100+5)/100
=34*150/10=17*21
=357
Now suppose m.p=®100
Discount=15%
Discount=15/100
=®15
:.s.p=®100-®15=®85
If s.p is ®85 then m.p=®100
If s.p is ®1 then m.p =®100/85=20/17
S.p=357 then m.p=®20/17*357
=®20*21=®420
