Let the marked price be Rs x.
Then, discount = 15% of x
= Rs (x × 15/100)
= Rs 3x/20
Hence, the marked price is Rs 2000.

The shopkeeper get the 20% profit on 1700
20÷100*1700 = Rs.340
so, it remains 1700 - 340 = Rs.1360
he allows 15% on it
15÷100*1360 = Rs.204
Therefore, the marked value is Rs.1360.

He has purchased it 1360-204 = Rs.1156
