C.P=100
C.P= 1700
S.P=100+20-10=110

LET THE S.P BE x
100×X=1700×110
100x = 127000
x = 127000÷100
x = 1270rs.

Shagun12789: answer is 1275
subhikshamrth: ok 1 min.
subhikshamrth: sorry i did 1 mistake.. here's the answer
subhikshamrth: the cp is 100-10+20=110 and sp is = x. cp is 1700. so sp = 100x=127000 then x= 127000÷100= 1270. not 1275

Answer:Let the cost price of an article be x.

Profit=20%

SP=100+20×x/100

120x/100=6x/5

Mp=1700

Discount= 10% of 1700

Sp=Mp-dicount

Rs=1700-1700×10/100

So,700-170=Rs 1530

Hence,6x/5 =1530

6x=1530×5

6x=7650

X=7650/6

X= 1,275

The cost price of an item is Rs 1,275

Thanks
