A shopkeeper bought 140 oranges at Rs 28. 16 oranges are rotten. He sold 5 dozen oranges at rate 4.20 per dozen and remaining at Rs. 1.25 for four oranges find his profit percent. please solve this question​

Answer:

see first he bought 140 oranges for 28 rupees

after that 16 of them are rotten so 140 - 16 = 124

then he sold 5 dozen if oranges which is equal to

60 oranges so on 5 dozens he earned rs 21 so

124-60 = 64 and then is sold 4 oranges at rate if 1.25

so we will divide 64 ➗ by 4 which is 16 so 16x1.25= 20

so profit earned is 21 rs + 20 rs = 41rs profit = sp-cp= 41-28

= 13 profit earned is rs 13
