A shopkeeper bought 3 tables at Rs.250 each.He sold the first one at a profit of 20%,the second one at a loss of 16% and the third one was sold at such a price that his total profit was 15%.what was the selling price of the third table?​​

explanation

:each table cost = 250/-

:overall profit % = 15%

:total cost price of 3 tables = 250 * 3 = 750/-

:total selling price of 3 tables = 750 * (1 + 0.15) = 862.5/-

:profit of first table is 20% so selling price =

250*(1+ 0.20) = 300/-

second table was at loss of 15% so selling price =

250*+(1 - 0.16) = 210/-

now overall profit is summation of profits and losses

sp of table1 + sp of table2 + sp of table3 = total Sp of three tables

let sp of table 3 be x

300 + 210 + x = 862.5/-

x = 352.5/-

sp of table 3 is 352.5/-
