A shopkeeper bought 300 eggs at the rate of 120 per 100. Out of these, 40 eggs
broke in transit and he sold the remaining at the rate of 1.30 per egg. Find his loss
or profit per cent.

=>C.P of 100 eggs = 120

=>C.P of 300 eggs = 120×3 = 360rs

=>40 eggs were broken

=>therefore total eggs left = 300-40 = 260

=>Sp of 1 egg = 1.3

=>Sp of 260 eggs = 260×1.3 = 338rs

Therefore,

=>Loss = Cp-Sp

=>360-338 = 22

Loss = 22rs
