Remaining no. of custard apples to be sold = 396 - 360 = 36

If the selling price of 12 custard apples = Rs. 10

Then the selling price of 36 custard apples = $\frac{10}{12} \times 36$ = Rs. 30

∴ The total selling price of 396 custard apples = Rs. 600 + Rs. 30 = Rs. 630

Finding the profit or loss of the shopkeeper:

From the above calculations, we can say that the shopkeeper will make a profit since the S.P. > C.P.

∴ Profit = S.P. - C.P. = 630 - 396 = Rs. 234

∴ The profit percentage is,

= $\frac{Profit}{C.P.} \times 100$

= $\frac{234}{396} \times 100$

= $59.09\%$

≈ $\bold{60\%}$

Thus, the shopkeeper makes a profit of 60% in the process of the transaction.
