The cost price for the 40 oranges is 200.
Now, the shopkeeper intends to make 20% profits on the oranges
Profit = profit% * cost price
= 20/100 * 200
= 40
selling price = cost price + profit
Selling price = 200 + 40
= 240 Rs.
Sp for each orange=240/40= 6Rs.
Number of oranges which should be sold for rs150
150/6=25
25 oranges.
Now, the shopkeeper intends to make 20% profits on the oranges
Profit = profit% * cost price
= 20/100 * 200
= 40
selling price = cost price + profit
Selling price = 200 + 40
= 240 Rs.
Sp for each orange=240/40= 6Rs.
Number of oranges which should be sold for rs150
150/6=25
25 oranges.
