a shopkeeper bought a mobile phone for $8000 and sold it a profit 25/2 . what was his profit in rupees

mobile cost = 8000
he sold for profit = 25/2
profit in rupees =8000×25/2×1/100
                            =8000×25/200
                            =$1000

Profit = \frac{ Profit % * CP}{100}

Profit % =  \frac{25}{2}

CP (Cost price) = $ 8000

Substituting the following in the above formula:

Profit = 
\frac{25}{2} * 8000 *  \frac{1}{100}

Profit = 25 * 40

Profit = $ 1000
