he sold for profit = 25/2
profit in rupees =8000×25/2×1/100
                            =8000×25/200
                            =$1000

Profit % = $\frac{25}{2}$

CP (Cost price) = $ 8000

Substituting the following in the above formula:

Profit = $\frac{25}{2} * 8000 * \frac{1}{100}$

Profit = 25 * 40

Profit = $ 1000
