Given :  shopkeeper buys an article for 7200 and pays GST 12%.

shopkeeper makes it at 9000 charges GST at 12% from the

consumer

To Find : GST paid by shopkeeper

(ii) profit per cent made by the shopkeeper.

Solution:

shopkeeper buys an article for 7200

GST 12 % = (12/100)7200 =  Rs 864

Sold to consumer for 9000

GST 12 % = (12/100)9000 = 1080 Rs

GST Paid by shopkeeper = 1080 - 864  =  216  Rs

Profit = 9000 - 7200 = 1800 Rs

Profit % = (1800/7200) * 100 = 25 %
