S.P. of 8 pencils = Rs.10

=> S.P. of each pencil = 10/8 = Rs.1.25

Now,gain = 1.25 - 1 = 0.25

=>Gain % = gain/C.P. x 100 = 0.25/1 x 100 = 25%
