Answer:

according to the questions the answers are given....

Step-by-step explanation:

Qi. he earns nor profit or loss ...

so Profit-Loss=0

now if he solds 60 pens ...

profit is Rs.60/-

pencil of loss 40 paise...

so.....

60{profit]-60=0

so the loss of calculating how many pens=60/40/100{40/100 is to convert paise to rs}

60/40/100=600/4=150

so the shopkeeper sold 150 pencils........

Q ii. In a month he has a loss of 15/- he sold 100 pencils

so solding pencil is loss of 40 paise ..... and solding pen is profit of rs1/-

so he sold 100 pencils ... loss =100x40/100 =40/-

he pens he sold = Rs40 - 15/-{loss amount} so .....

The pens he might have sold are=25

he solds 25 pens
