Answer:

60PENS

Step-by-step explanation:

PROFIT BY SELLING ONE NOTEBOOK = RS.6

LOSS MADE BY SELLING ONE PEN = RS 4

PROFIT MADE BY SELLING 30 NOTEBOOKS = RS 180

LOSS SUFFERED = RS 100

LOSS MADE BY SELLING PENS = 180-102 =RS 78

THEREFORE,NUMBER OF PENS SOLD = 78/4=19.5 PENS(ANSWER)

NO. OF NOTEBOOKS SOLD IN THE NEXT WEEK = 40

PROFIT MADE = 40*6 = RS 240

IT IS GIVEN THAT NO LOSS OR GAIN HAS BEEN MADE SO,

NO. OF PENS SOLD = 240/4 = 60 PENS(ANSWER)
