Latika paid Rs 22 for a book kept for six days, while Anand paid Rs 16 for the book kept for four days. Find the fixed charges and the charge for each extra day

Let X be fixed charge for 2 days and Y be additional charge for each day....
Lathika used for 6 day......that is she was charged with 2 days+4 additional days and paid 22
so X+4Y=22_______(1)
Anand used for 4 days.....that is 2 days+2 additional days and paid 16
so X+2Y=16_______(2)
by solving (1) & (2) we get
X=10 and Y=3
that is fixed charge for days is $10 and additional charge for each day is $3....
