Weight of rice = 1kg

Weight of rice + Unknown weight = 1.5 kg

So , Unknown weight = 1.5 kg - 1kg

Unknown weight = 0.5 kg

We know,

1 kg = 1000 grams

0.5 kg = 500 grams

Hence unknown weight = 500grams

Answer:

500grams

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the unknown weight in the shop=x

Weight of rice= 1 kg

Combined weight of rice and unknown weight= 1 kg+ x

1kg+x= 1.5 kg

x=1.5kg - 1kg

x=0.5 kg

In 1 kg = 1000 grams

In 0.5 kg= 500grams
