The shopkeeper has originally 4000 eggs.
- Let the number of eggs the shopkeeper originally has be x.
- 5% of the eggs are broken that is 0.05x are broken.
- The remaining eggs left are x-0.05x = 0.95x.
- Now he sells 93% of the remaining eggs.
- That means remaining eggs left with the shopkeeper which are unsold are 7%.
- 7% of 0.95x eggs is equal to 266.
0.07 × 0.95x = 266
x = 4000
- The total number of eggs with the shopkeeper are 4000.
