A shopkeeper has five boxes containing 20 toys each.He sells three boxes in a day.How many toys are left with the shopkeeper? Solve using a mathematical sentence.​

a shopkeeper has five boxes

each boxes toy=5×20

=100 toys

he sell three boxes =3×20=60toys

five boxes -three boxes

100-60

40 toys or 2 boxes

2 boxes are left with shopkeeper.

Answer:

Given,

A shopkeeper has 5 boxes ,containing 20 toys each.

This states 1 box contains 20 toys.

As per the question,

he sells 3 boz a day.

1 box = 20 toys

3 boxes =  60 toys

Total number of toys = 5* 20 =100

Number of toys contained in 3 boxes  = 3 * 20 = 60 toys

number of toys left = 100 - 60

                              = 40 toys.
