8 laddoos can be made

Solution:

Given that,

A shopkeeper has one laddoo of radius 5 cm

Find volume of big laddoo:

Volume = \frac{4}{3} \times \pi r^3

r = 5 cm

Therefore,

Volume\ of\ big\ laddoo= \frac{4}{3} \times \pi \times 5^3

With the same material, how many laddoos of radius 2.5 cm can be made

Find volume of small laddoo:

r = 2.5 cm

Volume\ of\ small\ laddoo= \frac{4}{3} \times \pi \times 2.5^3

Find number of laddos made:

Number\ of\ ladoos = \frac{ \text{ volume of big ladoo }}{ \text{ volume of big ladoo }}

Number\ of\ ladoos = \frac{ \frac{4}{3} \times \pi \times 5^3}{ \frac{4}{3} \times \pi \times 2.5^3 }\\\\Number\ of\ ladoos = \frac{5^3}{2.5^3}\\\\Number\ of\ ladoos = 8

Thus 8 laddoos can be made
