Given: Total apple=24 kg

Let us consider the number of apples sold at a loss of 5% as x

Then the apples sold at a gain of 20%=24−x

Then, total SP =Rs.[120% of (24−x)+95% of x]

                        =Rs. [

5

6

(24−x)+

20

19x

]

                        =Rs. (

20

576−5x

)

Given, the seller earns a profit of 10%

20

576−5x

=110% of 24

20

576−5x

=

10

264

⇒   576−5x=528

⇒               5x=48

⇒                   x=9.6 kg
