A shopkeeper purchase few articles he sold 1/4 of them at 30%profit and remaining articles at 10% profit so how much profit percent he may gain overall​

Answer:

Let the total cp of all articles be x

Cp of 1/4 articles=1/4*x

                           =x/4

Profit %=30%

Profit=30/100*x/4

        =15x/200

Cp of rest articles=3/4x

Profit%=10%

Profit= 10/100*3/4x

        =3/40x

Hence total profit= 15x/200+3x/40

                             =15x+15x/200

                             =30x/200

Therefore ;

Profit%=  profit/cp*100

           =  30x/200/x*100

           =  3x/20*1/x*100

           =  3/20*100

           = 15%

Hence overall profit = 15%
