The correct answer is - Saprophytes

A saprophyte or a saprotroph is an organism which gets its energy and nutrition from dead and decaying organic matter like the decaying pieces of plants or animals.

An organism, especially a fungus or bacterium, that derives its nourishment from dead or decaying organic matter is also called saprobe.

Some are more accurately called as myco-heterotrophs because they actually parasitic fungi, rather than dead organic matter directly. Many Saprotrophic fungi decompose diverse carbon sources and so they are also called as decomposers.

The examples of saprophytic bacteria include cheese mold, lactic acid, yeast and rotting kitchen waste. Serpula lacrymans, Mucor, Mushrooms, moss etc. are examples of Saprophytic fungi.

hope this helps you mark it as a brainliest plzzzz
