  • Cost price of 1000 bulbs = Rs. 16

  • Cost of 1 bulb = Rs. (1000×16 ) = Rs. 16,00

  • Number of bulbs damaged = 100

  • Number of bulbs remaining = (1000-100)=900

  • Selling price of 1 bulb = 12.5

  • Selling price of 900 bulbs = Rs. (900×12.5) = 11250

  • Since S.P.<C.P. ,so GAIN

  • Gain=(S.P.-C.P.)

  • = Rs. ( 1600 - 11250)

  • = −9,650
