solution:

let the cost price of 1 bulb = Rs 12

the cost price of 250 bulbs = Rs 12*250

= Rs 3000

Number of fused bulbs = 5

Number of remaining bulbs = 250 - 5 = 245

selling price of 1 bulb = Rs 15

selling price of 245 bulbs = Rs 15*245

= Rs 3675

Gain = S.P - C.P

= Rs ( 3675 - 3000 )

= Rs 675

Profit % = Profit/C.P * 100

= 675/3000 * 100

= 22.5 %
