The profit present he made on selling all pencil boxes is Rs.450

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Cost of 60 pencil boxes= Rs. 4500

Rate of 50 pencil boxes=Rs. 4125

To be found:The profit made on selling all pencil boxes

Formula used:Profit gained= Actual cost- selling cost

Therefore,

We know that cost of 60 pencil boxes is 4500 Rs.,so cost of 1 pencil box is given by,

=\frac{4500}{60} \\=Rs.75

Similarly,we know the selling price of 50 pencil boxes is Rs.4125,so the selling price of 1 pencil box is given by,

=\frac{4125}{50} \\=Rs.82.5

Profit earned by selling one pencil box is given by,

=82.5-75\\=Rs.7.5

Hence ,the profit earned by selling all 60 pencil boxes is given by,

=7.5*60\\=Rs.450

Therefore, the profit earned by selling all pencil boxes is Rs.450

Given: CP of 6 pencil boxes= Rs 4500

SP of 50 pencil boxes = Rs 4125

Find: The profit %

According to the question

CP of 60 pencil boxes = Rs 4500

CP of 1 pencil boxes =\frac{4500}{60}

=75

CP of 50 pencil boxes =75\times 50

SP of 50 pencil boxes =Rs 4125

SP > CP

So profit =SP-CP

=4125-3750

=375

Profit % =\frac{375}{3750}\times 100

=10 %
