He earned 989.4 rupees loss

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The selling price of each jute bags = 100 rupees,

Profit% in each jute bag = 12%,

So, the cost price of each bag =\frac{100}{(100+12)}\times 100

=\frac{100}{112}\times 100

\approx 89.29

Now, selling price of each plastic bag = 10 rupees,

loss% in each jute bag = 15%,

So, the cost price of each bag =\frac{10}{(100-15)}\times 100

=\frac{10}{85}\times 100

\approx 11.77

Thus the total selling price of 10 jute bags and 100 plastic bags = 89.29 × 10 + 11.77 × 100

= 892.9 + 117.7

= 1010.6,

While the cost price of 10 jute bags and 100 plastic bags = 10 × 100 + 100 × 10

= 1000 + 1000

= 2000

∵ Cost price > selling price

i.e. He earned loss,

Loss = CP - SP = 2000 - 1010.6 = 989.4 rupees
