Cost Price of each saree = Rs.250

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Selling Price of Saree = Rs.266

Discount = 5%

Labelled Price - Selling Price = Discount

Let Labelled Price = Rs.x

We know that ,

Discount % = \frac{Discount}{Labelled\ Price}\times 100

5= \frac{Labelled\ Price - Selling\ Price}{Labelled\ Price}\times 100

5 = \frac{Labelled\ Price- 266}{Labelled\ Price}\times 100

5 = \frac{x-266}{x}\times 100

5x = 100x - 26600

95x = 26600

x = Rs.280

If discount is not given then Labelled Price = Selling Price

and Profit of 12% of Cost Price is given.

Selling Price = (100+12)% of Cost Price

 Rs.280        = 112% of Cost Price

  \frac{280}{112}\times 100 = 100% of Cost Price

Cost Price = Rs.250

Hence ,Cost Price of each saree = Rs.250
