A shopkeeper wants to sell his entire stock of 500 jackets. He offers a discount of 20% on the MP and is able to sell half his stalk. After that he offers a discount of 30% and us able to sell half of the remaining stock. He is able to sell the rest of the stock only when he offers 50% discount on the MP. The shopkeeper still made a profit of 10%. If the CP of each jacket is 4000, find out the MP of the jackets

C P of each jacket is 4000 Rs.

cp of 500 jacketsis 4000×500=2000000

final profit 10% so final S P is 2000000+200000=2200000

frequent S Ps are200 M P+87.5M P+62.5 M P

hence

350M P=2200000

M P=2200000÷350=220000÷35=44000÷7=6285.714285Rs.
