100 - 25\% = 75\% \\ 75 \times \frac{30}{100} = 22.5 \: then \\ 75 - 22.5 = 52.5\% \\ 52.5\% = 1200 \\ \% = \frac{1200}{52.5} \times 100 \\ = 2285.7 \: \: ans.

Given that,

Discount on items is 25%.

During the off season he offered 30% discount over and above the existing discount.

To find,

If Pragya buy a skirt which was marked for rupees 1200 how much did she pay for it.

Solution,

The marked price of the skirt is Rs 1200

Normal discount is 25%. It means that the Normal price of the skirt is

1200 - 25% of 1200 = \dfrac{25}{100}\times 1200=\text{Rs}\ 1200- \text{Rs}\ 300=\text{Rs}\ 900

During off season price of the skirt is :

Rs 900 - 30% of 900

=900-\dfrac{30}{100}\times 900\\\\=\text{Rs}\ 630

Hence, she would pay Rs 630 for the skirt.
