sri lanka has been india's closest neighbour for the last two thousand years.Their relations have been very friendly and cordial.Only in recent years,due to an ethnic crisis in sri lanka ,the relations between the two countries became strained.However,things have now improved and both the countries are taking steps to resolve the crisis.
