The art and architecture of the Delhi Sultanate period was a district from the indian style.The turks intorduced arches,domes,lofty towers or minaretsand decoration using the Arabic scripts.
New instruments such as saranji and raheb were introduced in that period. Amir Khursau intorduced many newrages such as ghrora ans sanam.He evolved a new style of light music known as qwalis by blending the hindu and iranisn system. The invention of the sitar was also attributed to him.The indian classical work Ragadaarpan was translated into Persian during the region of Firoz Tughlaq. Pir Bhodan, a saint was one of the greatest musicians of this period. Raja Man Singh of Gwalior was a great lover of music. He encouraged the composition of a great musical work called Man Kautuhal.
