Friends, all of us need travel and tours really in our lives.

"Travel far enough, you meet yourself.” ― David Mitchell, Cloud Atlas.

Travel is the activity of making a journey to another geographical location other than where we live.  We are compelled to travel often because of family functions, meeting friends, and attend official duties.  We travel for pleasure on excursions and for recreation on tourism.

“Travel brings power and love back into your life.” ― Rumi

Travel is a necessary diversion for us from daily mundane routine.  Travel enriches our knowledge and wisdom, which is not possible by being in our place.  Travel costs, we need to take precautions and make plans for the journey.  However, it is worth all the effort.

“I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.” ― Robert Louis Stevenson

Tourism is travelling to various popular touristic and heritage locations in the state, country or world.  Tourism helps us to learn the good history and rich cultural heritage that our ancestors have given us.  We may book well in advance for all the facilities.  Toursim may be costly, but it allows one to see what we study in our lessons.  We learn a lot of practical issues, see different cultures, interacting with people of multiple backgrounds and manners.

Employees with their families can go on tourism by a scheme of Leave Travel Allowance.  We can get information on the touristic spots through Internet or from Tourism department or from travel agencies.

In India, travel and tourism is not so convenient as in developed countries.  The ministry of tourism needs to take corrective measures.  Many foreigners are not interested in touring India due to risks of infection, safety and dirtiness.  Sri Lanka, Singapore etc. earn a lot of revenue through tourism.

Conclusion :
In India people visit pilgrimage centers and big cities.  Tourism to isolated heritage centers is not the first choice.  Is it right that we boast of India's greatness, but not visit our own heritage centers and remember our ancestors great deeds and constructions?  Do not forget to know the weather at the destinations before starting off.

Let us make a promise to ourselves that we will promote our own cultural heritage and landscape.
