Given,

Radius, r = 4.9 cm

hence, Volume, V = 4*π*(4.9)^2/3 = 492.55 cm^3

Density = 7.8 g/cm^3

Hence, mass = 7.8*492.55 = 3841.89 g = 3.84 Kg

Answer:

3.845 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we need to use the formula, density = mass/volume

Radius of sphere = 4.9 cm

We know that, volume of a sphere = 4/3 π r³

∴ Volume of shot put

= 4/3 x 22/7 x 4.9 x 4.9 x 4.9

= 493 cm³

Therefore, mass of shot put = volume x density

= 493 x 7.8 = 3845.4 g

which is nearly 3.84 kg
