A silver wire of 0.5 gram was first dissolved in nitric acid and then treated with hydrochloric acid, so that 0.6 gram AgCl was precipitated.
In another experiment 1 gram silver metal produce 1.32 gram silver chloride when heated with dry chlorine gas.

Illustrate the law of constant composition using this data.​

Given that ,

In First Case:-

0.5g silver produce = 0.66g. of silver chloride

1g silver produce = 0.66/0.5= 1.3g. of silver chloride.

1g silver produce= 1.3 g of silver chloride.

so

In 2nd Case:-.

1g silver produce = 1.3 g gram of silver chloride..

Hence in both cases mass of silver chloride remain same !
