A simple pendulum has a time period T when it is at north pole. Its time period when it is
at equator (R = radius of earth)

As value of acceleration due to gravity increase as we go from equator to pole. Since, T is inversely proportional to g, hence when the simple pendulum is taken from equator to poles, hence time period of the pendulum will decrease....... i hope this will help you
