<marquee>HELLO</marquee>

☢️THIS IS PARTICULARLY BECAUSE OF FORCE AND MOTION.

☢️The time for one complete up-and-down motion is the simple water wave's period ... just as in the case of harmonic motion of an object.

Answer

When a simple pendulum is made to oscillate in a trough of water its time period will decrease because water has viscous force which will decrease its motion and hence the time period.
