A single force of 40 N acts upon a 5-kg block- what is the magnitude of the acceleration of the block?

Okey..
One one force is applied on the block,as per question.
So according to Newton's law of motion, F=ma. Here F=40 N
m=5 kg , let the acceleration is "a"
So, 40=5(a)
a=40/5=8
So acceleration is 8 m/s^2
