Explanation:

A SLIGHT MISUNDERSTANDING' is a story written by J B Boothroyd, a renowned English writer. The story is all about the instances of misunderstanding by himself, the narrator and of a farmer's wife. The story begins by telling that on a Saturday, the narrator finishes shopping groceries and collecting laundry, he also mentioned about the small black car that he bought, which was a trend of those days and many people his same car. It was also parked among the crowd of the exact same black cars. While returning, he gets into his own car, but it was actually the carelessness of a farmer's wife who kept her things in the wrong car, which turned out to be the narrator's.  He thought he got into the wrong car when he was licked by the farmer's dog , and also when he found her handbag and stuffs. On the dog's collar, was written the address of his house. With the help of that, he finds the farmer's home. The farmer but took everything rather well as he knew of his wife's nature of carelessness. Then he told about the incident to him and when he checked the number plate of the car, he realised that he was right at the first place. He offered him a cup of coffee. Then , they had a good laugh, and the whole thing ended on a very happy note. There was another that came up. After a social visit with his wife, while returning, his wife went to collect the fruits, fish and groceries and dry-cleaned items and when she opened the boot, she found nothing but a bale of hay, which says that the narrator had got the wrong car this time!
