a small amount of hydrochloric acid is always present in the stomach. how is this acid useful for us. if too much amount of acid is produced in the stomach, how can it be controlled ?

The acid is useful as well as harmful to us.
Acid kills the germs and bacteria which is harmful to our body.
If much/quiet acid is poured in our food so we can prevent it by taking/drinking soda as it has Base.
