A small ball is suspended from a thread. It is lifted up with an acceleration 4.9m/s^2 and lowered down wirh the same accelerarion then the rario of tension in the thread in both the cases: (A)1:3. (B)3:1 (C)1:1 (D)1:5^1/2

(B) 3:1 is the answer

If m is the mad of the ball.

in lifting motion, tension will be caused due to gravity and pseudo force and both will act in same direction.

T = m(9.8 + 4.9) = 14.7m N

in downwards motion, tension will be contributed by gravity and acceleration of the system but just like case of differences in observed weights in lifts here, the given acceleration will decrease the tention due to gravity.

T' = m(9.8 - 4.9) = 4.9m N

T/T' = (14.7m)/(4.9m)

T/T' = 3

plz mark it as brainliest
