(i) Area of glass used = 5900 sq. cm

(ii) Length of tape required = 380 cm

Explanation:

Given: Glass house that is cuboid in shape, covered with glass.

Length l = 40 cm

Breadth b = 30 cm

Height h = 25 cm

(i) area of glass used = total surface area of the glass house = 2 (lb +lh +bh)

=  2(40 × 30 + 40 × 25 + 30 × 25) sq. cm

= 2 (1200 + 1000 + 750)

= 5900 sq. cm

(ii) length of tape required = total length of all the sides

Total length of tape = 4 (l +b +h)

=  4 (40 + 30 + 25)

= 4 (95)

= 380 cm
