Spacecraft themselves can have parts which can separate or are separated from them as part of their work, or mission. For human spacecraft, these are often called modules.

Hope it is helpful to you...............

The fuel tank detaches from the main part of the spacecraft.

  • The spacecraft uses a certain type of fuel. When ignited the high temperature of the fuel expands through the nozzles and sends a thrust which drives the vehicle high in the space.
  • The spacecraft's structure is decided by the weight of a satellite and its type of orbit. Also, the fuel component plays a major role in the spacecraft's total weight.
  • The spacecraft's weight can be reduced gradually as it launches. This process helps in controlling its velocity and height. After reaching a certain height, the fuel tanks get disconnected from the main body of the spacecraft to make it light in weight.
