             Don't Make Fashion Your Passion

Good morning everyone present; i am here to expatiate on 'Don't Make Fashion Your Passion'.

Coco Chanel has artistically said: “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary defines fashion as a popular style of clothes, hair, etc. at a particular time or place.

A majority of people also seem to have formed a very narrow perception about fashion. They limit fashion to clothes, accessories, shoes, or hair-styles only. They are so obsessed about it. Have you ever seen youngsters preparing themselves for a party or get-together? They forget everything to get the most stylish outfit stitched or bought from the market. They are so particular in giving directions to their tailor or dress designer. They are so meticulous in matching the accessories to the dress. They don’t forget to miss wearing the compatible watch and perfume. Have you ever seen a father and a son or daughter arguing about the hair styles? The father and the son never agree on the same hair-style! People’s urge to look swanky and stylish through their dressing sense is considered fashion. However, this is just the shallow aspect of fashion. And the entire mankind, especially the youth is crazy about fashion.

Fashion also implies with the ideas, thoughts, and deeper aspects of life. For example success, achievements, prosperity, discovery, invention, and innovation are always in fashion. Unfortunately a majority of the youth is crazy about shallow fashion only. In their absorption with their dresses and hair-styles, they often ignore the real and true fashion. The word of advice for them is they should give due place to both the fashions in their life. They should not waste their time, resources, and energies in sprucing up physically only; they should give equal importance to beautify their mind, soul, intellect, and character through the make-up of values also.
