Answer:

Answer: I have two answers.. check which is right

82.4 hours

or

88 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

If the question was how long will it take to climb the rest of the poIe this is the answer

snails current position is (75-40) = 35cm

time taken to climb 75 cm = 12 hours

so one hour can also be written as 60 min

so time taken to climb 1 cm= 12*60/75

= 720/75     =    9.6

so to climb 5.15 m it takes

9.6*515 = 4944

so it takes 4944 min to climb the rest of the poIe

so therefore it takes

4944/60 hrs to climb.... ie

82.4 hrs

.

If the question was how long it takes to climb the complete poIe the answer will be

(steps are same from above till time taken to climb 1 cm)

so we know it takes 9.6 min.  so

time taken to climb the poIe will be

The height of the poIe * time taken to climb a cm

so convert 5.5 m to cm and it will be 550 cm

therefore we get the equation

550*9.6=  5280 min

and time taken(in hours) will be

5280/60   = 88 hours

So it takes 88 hours to climb the complete
