Total surface area of the cube = 6a2 sq units
Measures of one of the the cuboid formed by cutting the given cube into two equal halves = 'a', 'a' and 'a/2' units
TSa of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh) = 2(a×a + a×a/2 + a×a/2) sq units = 2(a2 + a2/2 + a2/2) = 4a2.
Ratio of the total surface areas = 6 a2 : 4 a2 = 3 : 2....
